Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) Kills iPod Shuffle And iPod Nano

Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) has decided to phase out two of its remaining iPod products. It has also made a number of adjustments to both the pricing and the configuration of the iPod Touch.

Apple’s discontinuation of the iPod Shuffle and iPod Nano marks the last stage of the company’s elimination of its non-iOS iPods. But iPod Touch still maintains its place in the lineup though it is going at a relatively lower rate. The user is disadvantaged because unlike before, he now has fewer configurations to choose from.

An outlook at the latest news on the different media platforms reveals that Apple’s stock has recently been on the decline. This has compelled the company to discontinue a wide range of its products.

In the previous year, Apple resolved to exit the router business. The Airport Express and the Airport Extreme were brought to a sudden halt. The provider’s move to eliminate the Thunderbolt display brought the manufacture of the various computer displays to a sudden stop. The widely renowned 11-inch MacBook Air was also killed in the process.

In its many years of business operation, the company has continued to express much willingness to implement any changes it deems necessary to progress. One of the moves it has undertaken has been the elimination of some of its products in an effort to simplify its wide array of offerings. At the moment, there has been a major decline in what the company has been accumulating in terms of iPod sales. It is so extreme such that it bears quite minimal impact on the Apple’s bottom line.

Matters have worsened. In 2015, the company quit reporting on iPod sales and this meant some room for iPod Touch to hit headlines though it didn’t do that with impact. The ubiquity of smartphones and the popularity of streaming music have taken root globally. This has eliminated the need to continue providing portable music players and in particular those that didn’t run iOS. The Company’s spokesperson recently stated that they have plans underway that will help the company rise again.
