Amazon Echo is a smart speaker developed by Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN). It is a 9.25-inch all cylinder speaker that connects to the voice-controlled intelligent personal assistant service Alexa.

Here are top 10 tips and tricks that you should try to enhance your experience with Echo.

1# How to Remove Amazon Echo Voice Data

Deleting your voice data stored by Amazon Echo is very simple. In the Amazon Echo app, go to Settings and then open History to access all of your recordings. You can delete all of the recordings or remove a specific recording by tapping it and pressing Delete.

2# Changing Wake Word From ‘Alexa’

By default, Amazon Echo uses ‘Alexa’ as a wake word. But you can change this word with Amazon, Computer or Echo.

To change your wake word in the Alexa app:

  1. Select the Settings from the Menu.
  2. Choose your device.
  3. Scroll down and select Wake Word.
  4. From the drop-down menu, select a wake word, and then select Save.

3# Solving Simple Math Problems Using Alexa

Alexa can also help you solve a simple math problem. You can ask the personal smart assistant to convert currencies or do math equations. For example, you can ask her, “Alexa, can you please convert 100 dollars to euros,” or, “Alexa, 20 times 20.”

4# Play Apple Music and Google Play Music

Alexa can play your own music library in Apple Music or Google Play Music. You need to connect the Echo smart device to your mobile phone or computer using Bluetooth and listen to your favorite songs.

5# Placing Online Order with Alexa

As an Amazon Prime subscriber, you can enjoy free two-day shipping on millions of items as well as other benefits. Using the Amazon Echo, you can order any product from Amazon.com. When you make a voice purchase request, Alexa searches through Prime-eligible items which are highly rated, well-priced products. If an item is available, Alexa tells you the item name and price. Alexa also tells you the estimated delivery information if it will not be standard Prime 2-day shipping. Then, Alexa asks you to confirm or cancel the order.

6# Tracking Amazon Shipment Using Alexa

You can ask Alexa to track your orders from Amazon.com. If you have multiple orders, Alexa will give you the status of the order with the closest delivery date. To track the status of a recently shipped order, say something like, “Alexa, track my order” or “Alexa, where is my stuff?”

7# Ordering Your Favorite Food

Alexa place orders for your favorite food and drinks using “Skills”. There are more than 10,000 skills you can use to enjoy your Amazon Echo experience. To order your favorite pizzas from Pizza Hut, activate the Pizza Hut Alexa app. You can ask Alexa, “Enable Pizza Hut skill”. Similarly, you can enable other Alexa skills.
