The Board of Directors of Agile Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:AGRX) appointed Al Altomari, the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer, as Chairman of the Board and Abhijeet Lele as the Lead Independent Director of the Board, both effective immediately. In his role as Chairman of the Board, Mr. Altomari will lead the Board’s efforts in overseeing the development and implementation of the Company’s strategic vision. As Lead Independent Director, Mr. Lele will be responsible for, among other things, leading executive sessions of the Board’s independent directors and advising the independent board committee chairs in fulfilling their responsibilities to the Board. Mr. Altomari and Mr. Lele have been members of the Board since February 2004 and May 2010, respectively.
