On February 12, 2018, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved SYMDEKOTM (tezacaftor/ivacaftor and ivacaftor) in patients with cystic fibrosis twelve years of age and older who have two copies of the F508del mutation in their cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator, or CFTR, gene, or who have at least one mutation that is responsive to tezacaftor/ivacaftor.

We have established a wholesale acquisition cost for SYMDEKO in the United States of $292,000 on an annual basis ($22,400 per 28-day pack).

We anticipate full-year 2018 total CF net product revenues of $2.65 to $2.80 billion from our three approved medicines – KALYDECO, ORKAMBI and SYMDEKO. The growth in 2018 is expected to be driven by an increased number of patients treated with Vertex's CF medicines, specifically from the launch of SYMDEKO in the U.S. and an increased number of patients treated with ORKAMBI outside of the U.S. We are reiterating that our combined GAAP research and development and sales, general, and administrative expenses in 2018 will be in the range of$1.80 to$1.95 billionand combined non-GAAP research and development and sales, general, and administrative expenses will be in the range of$1.50to$1.55 billion.
