The Northern California unit of TRI Pointe Group Inc (NYSE:TPH) recently reached a milestone in sales when it closed its 1,000th home. This was in the Vacaville area in California at the Redstone community. At present, the selling communities that are active in the Northern California unit of TRI Pointe Homes number 12. By the close of the year, six more will have been added by one of the biggest homebuilding firms in the United States.
Bay Area expansion plans
The firm was launched in 2009 and has experienced rapid expansion in San Jose. TRI Pointe Homes’ division for Northern California is, however, not about to rest on its laurels as it is considering expanding into new communities in the near future. Though the unit concentrates its strategic focus in East Bay and Bay Area, plans are underway to try the Sacramento market.
“Our path to closing on 1,000 homes is because of a commitment from all departments, from design and construction, to marketing and sales, and everyone in between, to deliver life-inspiring homes to satisfied buyers,” the president of the Northern California unit of TRI Pointe Homes, Jeff Frankel, said.
Peer recognition
The TRI Pointe Homes milestone comes in the wake the home builder getting industry recognition after taking the 2016 Builder of the Year Award which is run by Builder and Developer. In the 20th edition of the Eliant Homebuyers Choice Awards held last year, TRI Pointe Homes also received four national awards. With regards to customer experience and construction experience, TRI Pointe Homes took the first place on a national level. The home builder also took a second place award nationally for giving buyers the best quality in their first year of occupying their newly purchased home. This was among builders in the high volume category.
In previous years, the home builder has also received top awards in the region for outranking others in sales as well as in marketing. TRI Pointe Homes’ specialty is condominiums and homes for single families.
On Wednesday shares of TRI Pointe Group Inc rose by 1.23% to close the day at $12.32.
