(b)          Retirement of Director

On May 24, 2017, Hugh Sloan retired from the Board of Directors of Spartan Motors, Inc. (the “Company”) at the expiration of his term. Mr. Sloan had been a director of the Company since 2007. The Company’s Board of Directors elected to decrease the membership of the Board to seven members, effective with the close of the Company’s annual meeting of shareholders on May 24, 2017.
