On July 31, 2017, Provident Financial Holdings, Inc. (the "Corporation") announced that the Corporation's Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.14 per share, reflecting an eight percent increase from the $0.13 per share paid on June 9, 2017. Shareholders of the Corporation's common stock at the close of business on August 21, 2017 will be entitled to receive the cash dividend. The cash dividend will be payable on September 11, 2017.

The news release announcing the quarterly cash dividend is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated by reference herein.
