On January 8, 2018, LG&E and KU Energy LLC ("LKE"), a wholly owned subsidiary of PPL Corporation, announced the retirement of Victor A. Staffieri, chairman and chief executive officer of LKE and its subsidiaries, Louisville Gas and Electric Company ("LG&E") and Kentucky Utilities Company ("KU"), effective March 8, 2018. LKE also announced that Paul W. Thompson, presently the president and chief operating officer of LKE, LG&E and KU,will succeed Mr. Staffieri as chairman, chief executive officer and president of LKE, LG&E and KU.

On January 8, 2018, LKE issued a press release announcing the retirement of Mr. Staffieri and the appointment of Mr. Thompson as chairman, chief executive officer and president of LKE, LG&E and KU.
