Partner Communications Company Ltd (NASDAQ:PTNR) has revamped the organization’s board of directors (BoD). The Board approved the selection of Mr. Barak Pridor as one of the member of the organization’s BoD. Mr. Pridor’s name was proposed by S.B. Israel Telecom Ltd., the company’s main shareholder. In keeping with the organization’s applicable law, the former will be in office till the next annual general meeting (AGM) of shareholders.
Mr.Pridor was head of Clearforest from 2000 to 2011. He was also a senior executive of Thomson Reuters from 2007 onwards. He has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics as well as computer science from the University of Tel Aviv. In addition he holds an MBA from INSEAD School of Business.
Mr Pridor possesses profound understanding of organizations in the technology as well as the telecommunication field. This is because he has been an investor in technological organizations. Also he possesses considerable operational as well as executive experience in this domain.
Mr. Sumeet Jaisinghani also submitted his resignation to the company. He served as the director in the organization representing S.B. Israel. The notice was regarding Mr. Jaisinghani’s stepping down from the company director’s boards. His stepping down is not connected to conditions that need to be brought to the notice of the company’s shareholders.
Recently, Partner Communications completely split with French telecoms group, Orange SA (NYSE:ORAN) kicking off a fresh brand less than a year after a public dispute between the two organizations.
Partner who had permission to work under the name Orange since it was launched in 1997.It will now utilize Partner as its brand and has substituted its orange emblem with a turquoise one.
Isaac Benbenisti, Partner’s CEO, refused to disclose how much the country’s second biggest mobile operator spent in rebranding. The company hired branding virtuoso MetaDesign. However, the company opined that the process was time consuming and prohibitive in terms of money.
Partner Communications introduced a fresh strategy to shift from being just a cellular company to a communications conglomerate where television and content will play the major role. The company is planning to release its TV service soon.
