Ascena Retail Group Inc (NASDAQ:ASNA) Dressbarn has announced that they are forming an alliance with News Corp (NASDAQ:NWSA) HarperCollins for the executive Launching of The Happy Cook: The dressbarn special edition.
The launching ceremony
The launching is happening just in time for the celebrations of Mother’s Day. The book is featuring around 125 recipes for the whole family. The author, Daphne Oz is a mother, a chef, author and television personality. The book is marked by a custom cover and comes with a special note from the author specifically written to Dressbarn customers.
The book will be up for sale in Dressbarn stores from Saturday, May 6. The launching ceremony will be May 6 during Mother’s day where it will be offered as a gift in all the 790 stores with the purchases worth of $100 and more. The offers are valid while the stock lasts.

Daphne is expected to host an in-store appearance from 12-2 pm at the Dressbarn in Nanuet where she is expected to meet customers as well as sign copies of the book during the launching ceremony.

The shares of News Corp closed in $12.96 on Thursday after a rise $0.02 or 0.15%.
