On January 7, 2019, National General Holdings Corp. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing its preliminary loss estimates for the fourth quarter of 2018 from Hurricane Michael and the California wildfires and the scheduling of a conference call on February 26, 2019 with respect to its 2018 fourth quarter results. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference. The press release is furnished and not filed to instruction B.2 of Form 8-K.

Through its subsidiaries, the Company provides a range of insurance products, including personal and commercial automobile, homeowners, umbrella, recreational vehicle, supplemental health, lender-placed and other niche products.
