Microsoft Surface Phone is one the hottes topics in the tech world these days. Though, Microsoft has not released any information, rumors have been swirling about the handset for a long time.
Rumors suggest that the purported Surface Phone would be a Windows-10 device aimed at business and corporate users. It would be better than all of previous Microsoft Windows phone.
According to the reports, Microsoft would offer three different models of the Surface Phone. We might see a consumer model, a business model, and an enthusiast edition.
The Surface Phone could create problems for the Apple’s iPhones which faces a strong competition from Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel and Chinese manufacturers. Apple is reportedly working on the iPhone 8 for 2017. Many analyst believe that the iPhone 8 would be a hit device for Apple, which is worried about declining iPhone sales.
Coming back to the Surface Phone, there are different views about the phone’s launch date. But one thing that we are sure of is that Microsoft has been working on a Windows phone. Last year, the company’s CEO Satya Nadella told shareholders that Microsoft has not abandoned mobile phone, but it is looking “at different forms and functions for mobile devices.” In November 2016, the CEO told the Australia Financial Review that the company is building the “ultimate mobile device.”
As far as the launch date is concerned, we expect the Surface Phone to launch in the second half of 2017. Microsoft might unveil the device soon after the launch of the iPhone 8. Some reports suggest that the Surface Phone will not arrive until the first quarter of 2018.
We expect that Microsoft would announce the information about the Surface Phone in June.

According to the rumors mill, the Surface Phone will have three variants: a consumer model; a business model; and an enthusiast edition.
It would feature a ClearBlack AMOLED display and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with up to 6 GB random access memory.
According to rumors, the Surface Phone would support Win32 apps. It is said to come with a stylish pen and a keyboard to enhance productivity.
The Surface Phone might get a 20 megapixel (MP) rear camera with a Carl Zeiss lens. It would have an 8 MP front camera for taking selfies and making Skype calls.
Microsoft filed a patent about a fingerprint built into the screen. We expect that unique fingerprint to feature in the Surface Phone.
Microsoft is not planning to remove the headphone jack from its future phones. So, the Surface Phone is expected to feature a 3.5mm audio jack, as well as a Type-C USB port at the bottom.
As far as the price is concerned, the Surface Phone is likely to be an expensive device. According to the unofficial reports, the lower-end model would start at $699, while the higher-end version would be offered at $1100.
