Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) Rolls Our A New AI Chatbot

Though it is yet to make an official announcement of its latest moves, reports have it that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has a new AI chatbot going by the name Ruuh. The tech giant is said to have filed for its trademark on March 15 and it is now in a testing mode. Nonetheless, it appears to be available on Facebook and only to English speakers in India.

Notably, Microsoft has put all efforts towards AI chatbots but it has been failing over the years. The first bot to be launched that not gain any popularity as expected was Tay.ai. It was shortly pulled following repeated misuse.

Then there was the Zo, which the company claimed had safeguards that would avert the awkward events like those experienced with Tay.

AI has become one of the great buzzwords

From all the efforts that Microsoft has been putting towards chatbots, though they have been failing, it is clear that AI is taking market precedence. Initially, the creation and the launch of Tay.ai was aimed at 18- to 24-year-olds. However, Microsoft seems to be aiming at a much larger market.

The company says, “At Microsoft, we’re focused on helping people and organizations achieve more through new conversation models.”

Nonetheless, it will be experimenting with its new chatbot with a limited pilot program. The company’s desire is to advance conversational capabilities, which should eventually reach out to a broader audience in the future.

Microsoft formed a combined AI and Research Group to carry out the chatbot work

Apart from Chatting, Microsoft’s Ruuh has a whole lot of other interests, which include Music, Travel, Browsing Internet, Bollywood and Humor among others.  Nonetheless, a lot of what Microsoft has achieved with regards to AI chatbot work, the tech giant has not done alone. It has taken the efforts of Microsoft’s AI in combination with a Research Group formed last year.

Speculations are rife that the company will be releasing other chatbots as it continues with its AI push. In the meantime, Microsoft’s stock closed at $65.47 witnessing an increase of $0.18 or 0.28%.
