Labor Day 2016 is underway and everyone is anticipating various Labor Day 2016 sales, not just for the long weekend but for the entire week.

As per usual, major US retailers are offering different discounts for consumer electronics, making Labor Day 2016 a particularly ideal time to do some shopping without the added insanity of Black Friday.

Best Buy Co Inc (NYSE:BBY) for example is offering a $100 discount on select Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) MacBook Air laptops; up to 60% on select tablets and TV sets; up to 35% discount on select appliances; and a $400 gift card for every single purchase of three or more major appliances worth at least $4,000. These Labor Day 2016 promotions last until September 14.

Meanwhile, Home Depot Inc (NYSE:HD) is offering up to $800 off on select appliances. On the other hand, Target Corporation (NYSE:TGT) is offering up to a 40% discount on select consumer electronics.

Car Deals

Aside from consumer electronics, consumers are also excited for major deals on different cars. Major car makers such as Bayer Motoren, Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F), Kia Motor Corporation, Toyota Motor Corp (ADR) (NYSE:TM), and Volkswagen have revealed their respective Labor Day 2016 deals and promotions. Moreover, some car dealers have special Labor Day 2016 offers on top of those deals.

For example, Ford Motor, Kia Motor, and Volkswagen are offering 0% financing and cash back bonus of up to $2,000 on select models.

Other Interesting Deals

Other major retailers are also offering attractive Labor Day 2016 discounts on certain products.

American Eagle Outfitters (NYSE:AEO) offers up to 60% discount as part of the AE End Summer Clearance Sale, which will last until Wednesday.

Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE:BKS) offers up to 90% discount on used textbooks; and a free delivery service for every purchase worth $25 above.

Gap Inc (NYSE:GPS) offers $25 GapCash for every $50 spent until Monday.

The GapCash is valid from September 14 to 19 and can be used on any purchases above $50.
