International Business Machines Corp (NYSE:IBM) is collaborating with Cloud Elements to provide a range of new connectors in the IBM App Connect.

Details of the merger

IBM connect is a premier cloud integration platform by IBM that allow users to quickly connect apps in automating their tasks as well as boosting the productivity. The alliance between IBM and Clouds Elements the API integration provider is expected to expand the extent of IBM’s App Connect catalog with potential wide range of new connectors to top cloud applications.

IBM clients will be in a position to leverage the applications in the sophisticated App Connect interface in automating integrations and receive notifications, sync data as well as track outcomes instead of manually performing the integration tasks which historically have been considered repetitive and high touch.

Tony Curcio the director of Application Integration at IBM stated, “We chose Cloud Elements because of their novel canonical data and object model which normalizes connectivity to cloud application.” He added that the approach assists in accelerating IBM’s time in marketing for the new connectors in the IBM App Connect.
