Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai aka Pichai Sundararajan recently stated that his 11-year-old son uses a simple home computer for mining Ethereum (ETH). Pichai made the statement while he addressed the New York Times DealBook conference audience. Pichai’s son talked about Ethereum mining when the 46-year-old Indian-American business executive said something related to Bitcoin (BTC) over dinner.

Pichai explained how paper money works to his Ethereum mining son

The Google CEO stated that he told his son about the way paper money works and the significance of existing banking systems. Pichai made the revelation about his son when a media anchor asked about his stand about screen time for his kids as a parent from Silicon Valley. A recently published article in the New York Times revealed that the excess screen time and growing tech addiction among children worry parents who live in Silicon Valley and work in technology.

While answering this question, Pichai said,” I’m like every other parent I guess. I do test a lot of gadgets at home so I have vulnerabilities in terms of how my kids get access to stuff.“ Pichai said that his son is 11 years old and told him about mining Ethereum.

Pichai says he has only simple computer at home

When asked whether he had a server at home, the CEO of Google said that he does have a server at home that assists his son in mining Ethereum. He also has a simple computer albeit built by the CEO himself. Pichai’s son is not the only kid from the tech family living in Silicon Valley to mine cryptocurrencies.

Recently the co-founder of Google, Sergey Brin stated that he along with his son have been mining ETH together. Brin made the revelation at the blockchain conference held in Morocco and hosted by Sir Richard Branson.
