With all the technological changes taking place in the world today, some of the big tech market players are gearing towards showcasing their grand visions. The competition is tight and each of them is upping their game in an effort to beat Apple, which has for some time been a strong market dominant. Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB), Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT), and Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) will be pulling up new strategies that will put them on a higher level with their finished products.

The strong interest in the Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality

The use of digital assistants is becoming rampant by the day thus the reason the tech firms are revealing their vision for future computing. This has been clearly indicated in their various conferences in the previous months and it is super interesting. According to Facebook’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, AR has the capability of rendering every other device with a screen obsolete.

However, while Zuckerberg’s compliments about AR may have been a warning to Apple, it is also worth noting Amazon’s efforts. With its Alexa digital assistant, the e-Commerce giant is on its way into outpacing Google. Amazon says it is almost closing a deal with Ford Motor Co, which will allow drivers to search, shop and control various devices from their vehicles through the use of a voice.

Voice-based computing could be the next big platform

The common thread with each of the technological giants is that of collecting data about its users. However, they also acknowledge the increasing growth of voice-based computing but the company that wins on this will perhaps need to have more of its audience talking to devices.

Patricia Carando, a mobile developer who was attending the I/O conference writes, “Google has better understanding. It has been working on AI much longer.” The only concern there is that a majority of potential clients may choose to stick with Amazon or any other potential device from competitors the likes of Apple.

Amazon’s Alexa is in tight competition with Siri from Apple. However, Alexa is already making headlines because of its excellent voice recognition capabilities. At the same time, Apple is said to be way behind in showing a super-compelling way of using artificial intelligence.

Meanwhile, Facebook’s stock was trading at $148.06 witnessing an increase of $0.40 or 0.27% while that of Alphabet closed at $954.65 an increase of $4.15 or 0.44%. On the other hand, Microsoft’s stock closed at $67.69 a fall of $0.02 or 0.03%.
