On May2, 2017, Encana Corporation (the Corporation) issued a news
release announcing its financial results for its first quarter
ended March31, 2017. A copy of the news release is attached as

Quarterly Dividend
In its May2, 2017 news release, the Corporation also
announced that its Board of Directors had declared a quarterly
dividend of $0.015 per share on the Corporations outstanding
common shares. The dividend is payable on June30, 2017 to holders
of record at the close of business on June15, 2017. A copy of the
news release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report
on Form 8-K.
