Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On March 9, 2018, Bradley D. Blum resigned from the Board of Directors (the Board) of Darden Restaurants, Inc. (the Company) effective immediately. Mr. Blum’s resignation was not a result of a disagreement with the Company, its management or the Board.

Chuck Sonsteby, Chairman of the Board, said: “On behalf of the entire Board of Directors, I would like to acknowledge Brad’s many contributions to Darden over the years, including his past tenure as a member of the management team and a director and his more recent role as an independent director of the Company. We thank Brad for his dedicated service to the Company and wish him all the best.”
