The Countermeasures segment designs, develops, manufactures, and sells expendable countermeasures for protecting air, sea, and land platforms; and landbased electronic warfare equipment. This segment's products include conventional and advanced flares, special material decoys, and chaffs, as well as RF and IR naval decoys, and naval decoy launchers. The Sensors & Electronics segment develops, manufactures, and sells improvised explosive device (IED) detection equipment, chemical and biological threat detection equipment, IED electronic countermeasures, network protection technologies, and explosive ordnance disposal equipment. This segment also provides under-vehicle surveillance systems, remote initiators, detonators, explosive charges, recoilless de-armers/disruptors, electronic intelligence equipment, and lawful intercept equipment. The Energetic Systems segment develops, procures, manufactures, and sells signals and illumination devices and payloads, cartridge/propellant actuated devices, pyrotechnic devices for satellite launch and deployment, missile and ammunition components, propellants, warheads, fuses, separation subsystems, actuators, and energetic materials. The company also exports its products worldwide. Chemring Group PLC was founded in 1905 and is headquartered in Romsey, the United Kingdom.
