Centurylink Inc (NYSE:CTL) closed at $14.75 losing 0.24% in yesterday’s trading session. It is a new dawn for the various concert goers and sports fans after the company resolved to move forward to connect them to power of the digital world.
The company’s spokesperson opined, “A catalyst in Detroit’s revitalization, Little Caesars Arena is part of a 50-block, mixed-use development led by the Ilitch organization called The District Detroit. The cutting-edge $635 million arena serves as the new home of the NHL’s Detroit Red Wings and the NBA’s Detroit Pistons.”
CenturyLink’s networking and technology expertise will play a huge role towards helping connect about 20,000 people to the internet. The company has set up a state-of-the art converged LAN for the arena which is expected to operate as the communications cornerstone for the entire District of Detroit.
The vice president in charge of information & innovation for Olympia Entertainment, John King, said that they were at the moment trying to establish top-class infrastructure. That would be crucial towards the success of the arena and according to him the company had delivered in the best possible way.
Olympia Entertainment has over the years focused in the provision of facility management services and the Detroit Red Wings has depended on it largely in sales and marketing. King said that the arena’s advanced communications network did them a lot of good whenever it came to helping them keep their guests connected during the time they enjoyed the wide ray of events. The operations staff has also had an easy time ensuring that matters run smoothly and at peak efficiency.
The vice president of technology architecture for CenturyLink, Mahesh Dalvi, said that each and every device in Little Caesars Arena was connected to their network. He added that they were looking forward to start offering advanced networking solutions for the high-profile, high-tech arena.
CenturyLink services connect internet-protocol television (IPTV) and digital signage in the entire arena complex. Asides from this they also connect the mobile and Wi-Fi applications. The company remains dedicated to providing connections to support ticketing, telephony, concession point-of-sale terminals and parking.
