 Canopy Growth Corporation (TSX: WEED) (NYSE: CGC) announced that Houseplant, a new brand of Canadian cannabis, has joined the Canopy Growth family. Under the partnership, Houseplant will use the production and distribution capabilities of Canopy Growth to ensure an ample supply of Houseplant flower, Softgel, and pre-rolled formats are rolled out in Canada over the coming months.

Village Farms International (TSX: VFF) (NASDAQ: VFF) said that it welcomes the actions of the Texas Department of Health and Human Services in descheduling hemp, including its cannabinoids in compliance with the 2018 Farm Act and Texas law. Under the state law, the removal of hemp from the controlled substances schedule will be effective on April 5, 21 days after the schedule’s publication.
