The Cannabis Council of Canada (C3), the trade association of Canada’s licensed producers of medical cannabis under Health Canada’s Cannabis Act, has announced its newly elected board of directors.
The national industry association, now embarking on its second year of operations, says that the board will support its members and work with key stakeholders on the advancement of the legal cannabis industry in Canada and around the world. The association’s general membership represents almost 90% of Canada’s legal cannabis industry.
C3’s Board
The association has named Megan McCrae of Aphria as the chairman of the board. John Fowler of The Supreme Cannabis Company was named vice chair, adult recereational use and Philippe Lucas of Tilray as vice chair, medical.
Other board members are Darren Karasiuk of Aurora Cannabis (NYSE: ACB); Alison Gordon of 48 North Cannabis; Jeff Jacobson of Cronos Group (NASDAQ: CRON); Jeff Ryan of Canopy Growth (NYSE: CGC); Ray Gracewood of Organigram (OTC: OGRMF); Isabelle Robillard of HEXO (NYSE: HEXO); Gerald Proctor of Sundial Growers; and Ruth Chun of Newstrike/UP Cannabis.
In addition, C3 announced the departure of Executive Director Allan Rewak, who is joining Emerald Health Therapeutics.
