AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) Launches Reward Program

AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) has created a reward program known as AT&T Thanks that was launched yesterday as a service to reportedly show customer appreciation.

AT&T Thanks is aimed at existing postpaid wireless customers during the summer. The reward program is currently offering a package where customers get an extra movie ticket for every ticket they purchase on Tuesdays. The offer starts on June 30 though it will not be available in all cinemas. Customers who wish to get the most out of the offer can do so by completing an online validation process through which they will receive a coupon code via text. The coupon code can be redeemed on the redemption website where the user can buy tickets at a lower coupon price or receive an extra free ticket.

The company will also offer other rewards to the AT&T customers including granting them priority access to concert tickets. There are a few offers that the firm aims to offer especially for movies though it has not yet revealed details. There is an offer that will be available for DIRECTV (NASDAQ:DTV) customers where they will receive special content to their mobile devices and TVs, but the details are sketchy. The telecommunication firm claims that the program was designed to evolve as time goes by and it will be unique to the company’s customers depending on the type of packages and services to which they are subscribed.

Other perks offered through the reward program include free mobile data and accessories among other things.

AT&T recently launched a move aimed at competing with cord cutters. The firm launched new data caps for broadband customers on U-Verse. The data caps range between 50GB and 1TB based on the speeds provided by the package. Customers who wish to avoid the data caps have been advised to subscribe to the unlimited package.
