Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On March23, 2018, Advanced Disposal Services,Inc. (the “Company”) announced that Matthew Gunnelson, Chief Accounting Officer and Assistant Treasurer of the Company, will go on a temporaryleave of absence for medical reasons.

In Mr.Gunnelson’s absence, Steven Carn, the Company’s Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, will also assume responsibility as the Company’s principal accounting officer. Prior to his appointment as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer, Mr.Carn served as the Company’s Chief Accounting Officer from April2001 to August2006.
