On March 1, 2017, Americas Styrenics, LLC, a 50%-owned joint venture of Trinseo S.A. (the “Company”), informed the Company that, to a March 1, 2017 notice from the U.S. Department of Justice, Antitrust Division (the “DOJ”), the previously disclosed investigation of Americas Styrenics’ involvement and participation in the polystyrene market by the United States Postal Service Office of Inspector General in coordination with the DOJ has been closed without any enforcement action.

Trinseo S.A. is a materials company. The Company operates under two divisions: Performance Materials and Basic Plastics & Feedstocks. The Performance Materials division’s segments include Synthetic Rubber, Latex and Performance Plastics.
