Donald Trump’s Campaign Team Takes Control Of His Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) Account

A report from the New York Times suggests that Donald Trump’s campaign team has taken over the presidential candidate’s Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) account.

It has been noted that Trump’s tweets have been quite different from his usual tweeting style. This suggests that his campaign team has taken over his social media presence and is posting content on his behalf. This is considered a good move for the candidate because his remarks on the microblogging platform were having a negative impact on his campaign. It was, therefore, logical for the campaign team to take over. However, there was no formal notice.

According to the New York Times report, it must have been tricky to get Trump to agree to give up his Twitter account. It was probably not an easy task to get Trump to agree that giving up control was best for his campaign. A smart move considering that rival presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has been trying to aggravate Trump so that he can say things that he will probably regret further down the road.

Now that the campaign team is in control of his tweets, they do all the tweeting for Trump. However, he will still have a say in his tweets but the team will be responsible for structuring them in such a way that they will have less of a chance of jeopardizing his political career, which may yet end tomorrow. Though this might be good for his political career it is not exciting news for his fans. It denies them a chance to interact with Trump himself since it will not be him tweeting.

According to the report, tweets previously written by Trump himself were negative and hyperbolic compared to the new tweets. It, therefore, makes it easier to distinguish those written by Trump and those compiled by his campaign team. His social media fans will most likely miss his “no chill” approach to matters and how he takes a hands-on approach to matters without sugarcoating things.
