Item 7.01. Regulation FD Disclosure.

On October 30, 2018, Ascent Capital Group,Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release, attached hereto as Exhibit99.1, announcing it will release its results for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2018 before the market opens on Monday, November 5, 2018. The Company will host a conference call that day at 9:00a.m. ET. Participating on the call will be Bill Fitzgerald, the Company’s Chairman, William Niles, Chief Executive Officer and General Counsel, Jeffery Gardner, Executive Vice President, and Fred Graffam, the Company’s Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Messrs.Niles, Gardner and Graffam are also executive officers of the Company’s wholly owned subsidiary, which does business as Brinks Home Security. During the call, management will provide an update on the Company’s operations, including the financial performance of Brinks Home Security, and may also discuss future opportunities.
