(b) On May 25, 2017, Mr. Patrick Condon, a member of the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of Cloud Peak Energy Inc. (“Cloud Peak Energy”), resigned from the Board, effective May 25, 2017. Mr. Condon’s resignation was not the result of a disagreement with Cloud Peak Energy on any matter relating to its operations, policies or practices.
