WisdomTree Investments, Inc. (NASDAQ:WETF), a company that majors in exchange traded funds (ETF) and exchange-traded products (ETP), and asset management has today announced its new Japan based subsidiary referred to as WisdomTree Japan K.K., has successfully completed Type 1 Financial Instruction Business registration with Kanto Local Finance Bureau of Japan’s Ministry of Finance. The company’s services will target institutional clients through its headquarters in Shin-Marunouchi Building in Tokyo.
The company’s president, Jonathan Steinberg said that WisdomTree Currently manages close to $12.7 billion in their japan Focused strategies. According to the president, the company is happy to further expand in the dynamic Japanese market. The company has a highly experienced team led by Jesper Koll who has more than three decades of experience in advising Japanese, U.S and other global investors.
The appointment of Jesper Kol as Wisdon Tree’s Japan CEO in July saw Junichi Kamitsubo, the former Head of iShares Japan, named as the new Head of Sales while Atsushi Yamamoto bacem the new Chief Compliance Officer.
In addition to the recent appointments, the company has hired three more members to the sales team, Masafumi Watanabe, Takashi Saito, and Yusuke Kijima. The three have strong ETF and financial backgrounds.
