Windstream Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:WIN) Announces Improved Network Connectivity SD-WAN Solutions

Windstream Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:WIN) has announced that it recently carried out various improvements to its SD-WAN solution with the aim of improving customer experience.

The company announced that it has introduced new connectivity options to its already successful SD-WAN solution. The new improvements are expected to provide an enhanced network connectivity for customers. The new changes include a new SD-WAN Concierge for automatically simplifies network management, lowers costs while optimizing application performance, extra perks such as enhanced control and self-monitoring options. The new additions also include extra broadband flexibility. Customers will also be able to combine Diverse Connect with SD-WAN to boost the service level agreement (SLA) to 100 percent.

“We introduced our SD-WAN service in January, and we have seen tremendous adoption in the first six months as customers find they benefit from a more tailored, flexible and controllable WAN experience,” stated Joseph Harding, Windstream’s executive VP.

Harding also pointed out that his company has been working towards the expansion of its SD-WAN solution ever since the company’s merger with EarthLink Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ:ELNK). He further added that the result of that expansion is a powerful solution that gives customers more performance, scalability and more network flexibility. It also offers other benefits such as reduced costs and eliminating downtime.

WAN technology has been the major factor when it comes to IT for data networking and voice infrastructure. Unfortunately, it has often been plagued by challenges such as latency and downtime. Most companies have opted to rethink their WAN strategy due to the high cost of increasing the number of location as well as the rise of hybrid cloud architectures. Windstream saw an opportunity of overcoming these challenges.

It’s SD-WAN solution takes advantage of cutting edge technology combined with the client’s prioritization application to maneuver through a mix of public and private networks in order to reach multiple locations. It also does this without compromising on the customer’s ability to control their network from a centralized point.

Windstream has teamed up with a wide range of industries including healthcare, banking, retail and professional services over the past six months. It’s SD-WAN solution is available to businesses within its operating area.

Windstream stock closed the latest trading session on Tuesday at $3.75.
