Item7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.

Modified Securities and Exchange Commission
Reporting

As previously reported, on December14, 2016, Violin Memory, Inc.
(the Company) filed a voluntary petition (the Chapter 11 Case) in
the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware
(the Bankruptcy Court) seeking relief under the provisions of
Chapter 11 of Title 11 of the United States Code (the Bankruptcy
Code).The Company is continuing in possession of its assets and
is managing its business as a debtor in possession in accordance
with the applicable provisions of the Bankruptcy Code and the
orders of the Bankruptcy Court.The Chapter 11 Case is being
administered by the Bankruptcy Court in the proceeding bearing
the caption In re Violin Memory, Inc., Case No.16-12782.

Also as previously reported, during the pendency of the Chapter
11 Case, the Company has determined to modify its reporting with
respect to its obligations under the federal securities laws.In
lieu of filing periodic reports on Forms 10-K and Forms 10-Q, the
Company will file, monthly, with the Securities and Exchange
Commission (SEC) a current report on Form 8-K that will have
attached the monthly financial report required by the Bankruptcy
Court.The Company does not intend to file future periodic reports
on Forms 10-Q and 10-K while the Chapter 11 Case is pending. The
Company will continue to file current reports on Form 8-K as
required by the federal securities laws.The Company believes that
this modified reporting program is consistent with the protection
of its investors as set forth in SEC Exchange Act Release
No.9660, dated June30, 1972.

Monthly Operating Report

On April17, 2017, the Company filed its monthly operating report
for the period from March1, 2017 through March31, 2017 with the
Bankruptcy Court (the Monthly Operating Report).The Monthly
Operating Report is attached to this Current Report on Form 8-K
as Exhibit 99.1, and is incorporated herein by reference.The
filing of and information included in this Current Report on Form
8-K, including Exhibit 99.1, should not be deemed any admission
as to the materiality of any information required to be disclosed
solely by Regulation FD.

Limitation on Incorporation by Reference

In accordance with General Instructions B.2. of Form 8-K, the
information with respect to the Company in this Item7.01 shall
not be deemed filed for purposes of Section18 of the Securities
Exchange Act of 1934, as amended (the Exchange Act), or otherwise

under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, except as shall be
