T-Mobile US Inc (NASDAQ:TMUS) just made it easier for users to track their vehicles through a syncUP Drive upgrade that allows multiple vehicles to be connected to the service.

T-Mobile’s SyncUP Drive now allows customers to track up to 24 vehicles thus effectively allowing the customer to manage an entire fleet through the SyncUP Drive app. Additionally, customers will be able to do this at no extra cost, thus making the service an even more attractive product.

T-Mobile’s SyncUp Drive also offers additional changes to improve the customer experience

The new features allow users to track all the vehicles in their portfolio on one map. There are also some extra new features that allow the user to make the most of the service. For example, users have the option of customizing the appearance such as different icons to represent each vehicle and a variety of colors to easily differentiate them.

The SyncUP Drive app also supports multiple geofences and the ability to alert the user whenever any of the vehicles goes beyond the preset boundaries. Notifications can be sent via the app or through SMS. The system also handles vehicle diagnostics thus allowing the vehicle owner to identify maintenance issues on time. All the extra additions do not require the user to pay an extra charge.

“This is what the Un-carrier does – gives you more without asking more! Last month, we gave SyncUP DRIVE customers roadside assistance, and now we’re giving them the ability to track all their vehicles in one place – all at no extra charge,” pointed out T-Mobile CEO, John Legere.

Legere also stated that the SyncUP Drive updates will be very useful to parents who want to keep tabs of all their vehicles as well as businesses. He also noted that the ease of use will surprise customers especially those monitoring their entire fleet using the T-Mobile service. The subscription fee is still $150 but the company currently has a discounted offer where customers can get a minimum of 2 gigabytes of data through a 24-month contract at $48. However, the discount will run for a temporary duration.

T-Mobile stock closed the latest trading session on Wednesday at $ 66.00.
