Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is expected to launch a new Surface device at the hardware event on May 23 in Shanghai, China. According to tech experts, that new device would be the Surface Pro 5.

Panos Panay, vice president of devices at Microsoft, recently said that “there is no such thing as a Pro 5.” According to rumors, the successor to Surface Pro 4 will be called the Surface Pro instead of the Surface Pro 5.

In his article in Venture Beat, Evan Blass (@evleaks) leaked photos of a device called the Surface Pro. The tablet PC looks very similar to the current Surface Pro 4.

Earlier this month, the Redmond-based tech giant launched the Surface Laptop and Windows 10 S at an event in New York City.

In this post, we’ve rounded up everything you should know about the successor to Surface Pro 4 or Surface Pro. (We will continue to call it the Surface Pro 5 in this article for the clarity)

Surface Pro 5 Rumors, News, Price

The tablet PC is expected to feature a lightweight aluminum body and a 12.3-inch 4K display.

We expect Intel Kaby Lake Core i7 processor inside the successor to Surface Pro 4. This new chipset is designed to boosts the overall performance of a machine while consuming less power.

The Pro 5 is rumored to get a 16GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The pen and keyboard will be similar to their predecessors but are expected to come with new color options. Rumors suggest that the new Surface Pen will come with a rechargeable technology.

According to the rumors mill, the Surface Pro 5 will get the Surface Dial. The company could place the Dial on the screen in the tablet PC, allowing users to access shortcuts and controls – volume for music apps – as well as other menus and tools. The Dial was originally introduced with the Microsoft Surface Studio all-in-computer last year.

There is a strong possibility of the Surface Pro at the Shanghai event on Tuesday. The machine is expected to be offered at $900.
