On November28, 2017, Sonus Networks,Inc. (the “Company”) filed an amendment to its Restated Certificate of Incorporation to change the Company’s name to “Ribbon Communications Inc.” The name change was authorized by the Company’s Board of Directors and is effective at 5:00 p.m., Eastern Time, on November28, 2017. A copy of the Certificate of Amendment of the Restated Certificate of Incorporation of the Company is attached hereto as Exhibit3.1.

Item 8.01 Other Events.

In connection with the Company’s name change to “Ribbon Communications Inc.”, the ticker symbol of the Company’s common stock on the NASDAQ Global Select Market will change from “SONS” to “RBBN” effective upon the commencement of trading on November29, 2017.
