On January 5, 2018, Rowan Companies plc issued a press release announcing the purchase of two 2013 Le Tourneau Super 116E jack-up rigs, the P-59 and P-60, from a subsidiary of Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. and the execution of certain other transactions related to its fleet renewal strategy.
