On February25, 2019, Piper Jaffray Companies (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that it had reached a definitive agreement to acquire 50% of the outstanding equity interests of Weeden& Co., L.P. (“Weeden & Co.”), a broker-dealer focusing on providing institutional clients with premier execution services. A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit99.1 hereto.
