PayPal Holdings, Inc. (the “Company”) expects to report a pre-tax gain of $218 million ($170 million on an after-tax basis) on the Company’s strategic investments in the quarter ended June 30, 2019. The associated impact on earnings per diluted share for the quarter ended June 30, 2019 is estimated to be a positive $0.14 per share. As previously disclosed, the Company’s full year and second quarter 2019 non-GAAP earnings per diluted share guidance announced on April 24, 2019 included an estimated benefit of approximately $0.01 in the second quarter of 2019 from unrealized gains relating to strategic investments.
