2017 for the fiscal quarter ended May 31, 2017, OMNOVA Solutions
Inc. (the “Company”) began reporting its financial results under
two new reporting segments: “Performance Materials”, a segment
comprised of the Company’s mature business lines, and “Specialty
Solutions”, a segment focused on the Company’s higher growth,
specialty business lines. The business lines within the Company’s
prior reporting segments, Performance Chemicals and Engineered
Surfaces, were reorganized into the new segments based on their
alignment with each segment’s primary characteristics.
unaudited supplemental segment information, reflecting the new
segment reporting structure, for the quarterly periods in fiscal
2017, 2016, and 2015. Also attached as Exhibit 99.2 are the
unaudited non-GAAP reconciliations for the first quarterly period
in fiscal 2017 and quarterly periods in fiscal 2016 and fiscal
2015, reflecting the new segment reporting structure.

OMNOVA Solutions Inc. (OMNOVA) is a provider of emulsion polymers, specialty chemicals and engineered surfaces for commercial, industrial and residential end uses. The Company operates in two segments: Performance Chemicals and Engineered Surfaces. OMNOVA Performance Chemicals segment produces a range of emulsion polymers and specialty chemicals based primarily on styrene butadiene (SB), styrene butadiene acrylonitrile (SBA), styrene butadiene vinyl pyridine, nitrile butadiene (NBR), polyvinyl acetate, acrylic, styrene acrylic, vinyl acrylic, glyoxal, fluorochemical and bio-based chemistries. The Company’s Engineered Surfaces segment develops, designs, produces and markets a line of functional and decorative surfacing products, including coated fabrics, vinyl, paper and specialty laminates, and performance films. It operates production facilities in the United States, Europe, China and India.
