On June29, 2018, Ocular Therapeutix,Inc. (the “Company”) announced the resubmission of the Company’s New Drug Application (“NDA”) to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) for its lead product candidate DEXTENZA®(dexamethasone insert) 0.4mg, for the treatment of ocular pain following ophthalmic surgery. The resubmission is intended to address manufacturing deficiencies cited by the FDA in the agency’s July2017 Complete Response Letter. The Company anticipates that the NDA resubmission will receive a Class2 (six-month review) designation. The Company further expects that the DEXTENZA resubmission will receive a target action date under the Prescription Drug User Fee Act by the end of 2018.
