On March 16, 2017, New York REIT, Inc. (the Company) issued a
press release announcing that the Companys 2017 Annual Meeting of
Stockholders (the Annual Meeting) will be held on June 8, 2017,
at a time and location to be determined. Stockholders of record
at the close of business on April 18, 2017 will be entitled to
vote at the Annual Meeting. A copy of the press release is
attached to this Current Report on Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1 and
incorporated by reference herein.
In accordance with the Companys bylaws, notice by a stockholder
of any nomination or other business proposals to be brought
before the Annual Meeting by a stockholder to the Companys bylaws
(other than proposals to be included in the proxy statement and
proxy card related to the Annual Meeting (the Proxy Statement) in
accordance with Rule 14a-8 under the Securities Exchange Act of
1934, as amended (the Exchange Act)) must be delivered during the
period beginning on March 17, 2017 and ending at 5:00 p.m.,
Eastern Daylight Time, on March 26, 2017. Further, in accordance
with Rule 14a-8 under the Exchange Act, the deadline for
submission of proposals to be included in the Proxy Statement
will be 5:00 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time, on April 24, 2017.
