Moneygram International Inc (NASDAQ:MGI) has announced the return of the second Cricket Bee competition this year.
The Cricket Bee competition is the brainchild of a major multicultural firm called Touchdown Media whose main aim is to unite cricket fans Across North America. The competition allows fans to demonstrate their knowledge and expertise in the sport. This includes trivia questions regarding the history, general knowledge, players, teams, and key moments in cricket. The winner of the trivial session will walk away with a cash price of $10,000.

The Cricket Bee competition is more than just a competition
The Cricket Bee competition is not only an opportunity for someone to go home with some cash, it is an opportunity for fans to come together and share their love for the sport. Touchdown Media CEO Rahul Walia pointed out that many immigrants are passionate about Cricket and that people know a lot about the game regardless of whether they play or not. Cricket is not just a sport to these people but a culture.
The contest will be launched in July this year and registration will be open to anyone above 18 years old. There will be regional rounds that will be held in different cities including Dallas, Toronto, New Jersey, Chicago and San Francisco. Regional tests will include a written which will consist of 35 questions and an oral question only for those who advance from the written one by getting at least 25 questions correct.
The event organizers for the contest have also teamed up with various local cricket leagues from different parts of the country. Aspiring contestants have until July 7 to register for the regional rounds.
