Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has unveiled the new Tech Series of Xbox Wireless Controllers.

The Xbox Wireless Controller – Recon Tech Special Edition is first in the series. It will start shipping to retailers worldwide on April 25. The company has not announced the other controllers in the series.

The Recon Tech Special Edition will be available for $70, which is also the standard price for special color controllers.

Microsoft said that the Xbox team – which created the new controller series – was inspired by military technology and performance patterns.

The Recon Tech controller features a laser etched texture front with gold accents and insignia on the front, while the textured diamond rubberized grips are on the back.

The controller has the same features as the Xbox Wireless Controller, including improved wireless range and Bluetooth technology for gaming on Windows 10 devices or Samsung Gear VR. Also, the custom button mapping feature is available through the Xbox Accessories App.

The new controller series will be compatible with the Copilot console feature on Xbox One. This feature, which will be available through the Creators Update later this year, allows any two Xbox Wireless Controllers act as if they were one.

Meanwhile, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) announced that it will launch Project Scorpio in holiday 2017. The company said that Scorpio will be “the most powerful console ever.”

The Project Scorpio will feature six teraflops of graphical processing power, true 4K gaming, and compatibility with Xbox One games and accessories.
