Rumors suggest that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is building the Surface Pro 5, the successor to Surface Pro 4. The company is expected to announce the Pro 5 in October.
The Surface Pro 5 is said to feature Intel’s Core i7 processors, a rechargeable Surface Pen, and a keyboard base. It is expected to get a lightweight aluminum body and a 12.3-inch display.
The Surface Pro 5 is likely to come equipped with the Intel “Kaby Lake” Core i7 processor. This new chipset improves overall performance, as well as helps save the battery life.
The Pro 5 is said to get a 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage.
The Surface Pro 5 is rumored to feature a rechargeable Surface Pen. Further, reports suggest that the tablet PC might sport 4K display. With the Kaby Lake processor, the Pro 5 can handle the 4K resolution.
A report from The Christian Post claimed that the Pro 5 might come with the Surface Dial that was introduced for the Surface Studio. The Dial could be placed on the screen, allowing users to access shortcuts and controls – volume for music apps – as well as other menus and tools.
According to Microsoft, the Dial is “a completely new way to interact with technology that allows users to store, customize, access, navigate, and reimagine physical tools in the digital world from concept to creation.”
