The speculation may now become a reality given the leakage of a video of a prototype model on YouTube. Word has it that the device has the same features as those of Sony Xperia XA (2017). From the video, the device bears the model number G3121, and a closer look also reveals various specs the likes of a 23-megapixel camera.
Xperia XZ has been Sony’s respectable flagship. It was expected to give a new and better image to the company in the competitive high-end phone market last year. However, this was not to be. It is for this reason that Sony is working hard to present the market with a new flagship Smartphone. Reliable sources from the company have revealed that Sony will be unveiling up to five new Xperia Smartphones in the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2017.
Expected features of the new flagship

The video further shows running Android 7.0 Nougat, which has on it a security patch level, dated January 5, 2017.

The same applied to Xperia XZ and Xperia X series devices. The anticipation is that the Smartphone will come with USB Type-C connectivity but only if it is succeeding the Sony Xperia XA.
Other expected moves by Sony
The company has previously launched what can be referred to as the world’s first Smartphone, which featured a 4K display. An additional report from the above suggests that Sony could be unveiling yet another premium Smartphone, perhaps a more competitive one. Nonetheless, having sent out invitations to for the special press event at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, it remains to be seen what Sony will be offering at the event.
