Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers. Imperial Oil Limited announced today the appointment of D.E. (Dan) Lyons as senior vice-president, finance and administration and controller, effective May1, 2018. Mr.Lyons, currently vice-president of downstream business services and downstream treasurer at Exxon Mobil Corporation, succeeds B.A. (Beverley) Babcock, who has announced her intention to retire after 31 years of service. Imperial Oil Ltd is a Canada-based integrated oil company. The Company is engaged in the exploration for, and production and sale of, crude oil and natural gas. The Company’s operations are conducted in three segments: Upstream, Downstream and Chemical. Upstream operations include the exploration for, and production of, crude oil, natural gas, synthetic oil and bitumen. Downstream operations consist of the transportation and refining of crude oil, blending of refined products and the distribution and marketing of those products. Chemical operations consist of the manufacturing and marketing of various petrochemicals. The Company holds an interest in the Kearl oil sands project, a joint venture with ExxonMobil Canada Properties. The Kearl project recovers shallow deposits of oil sands using open-pit mining methods. The Company transports its crude oil production and third-party crude oil required to supply refineries by contracted pipelines, common carrier pipelines and rail.
