Announcement of the Date of the Annual Meeting of Stockholders

Hess Corporation (the “Company”) has scheduled its next Annual Meeting of Stockholders (the “Annual Meeting”) for Wednesday, June 7, 2017. In order for a stockholder proposal to be considered for inclusion in the Company’s proxy statement and form of proxy for the Annual Meeting to Rule 14a-8 under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended, the proposal must be received by the corporate secretary at Hess Corporation, 1185 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10036, Attention: Corporate Secretary, no later than April 3, 2017, which the Company has determined to be a reasonable time before it expects to begin to print and mail its proxy materials. Any such proposals must meet the requirements of the Securities and Exchange Commission to be eligible for inclusion in the Company’s proxy materials.
