Glu Mobile Inc. (NASDAQ:GLUU) To Partner With MLB, Kris Bryant In New Baseball Game Title

For the upcoming release of the Tap Sports Baseball franchise’s latest title, Glu Mobile Inc. (NASDAQ:GLUU) has announced that it will partner with the third baseman of the Chicago Cubs, the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association, the Major League Baseball Players Association, and the MLB.

The agreement will see select former players, current players and 30 teams included in Tap Sports Baseball in order to offer a mobile game that is the closest to reality.

“Glu has continued to grow this franchise year-over-year and we can’t wait to launch a fully licensed product that delivers an authentic MLB experience just in time for the 2017 season,” Glu’s Chief Revenue Officer, Chris Akhavan said.

Most Valuable Player

This will be the second year in a row that the likeness of Kris Bryant will be featured on the Tap Sports Baseball franchise. The now 25-year-old Kris Bryant has quickly become a top talent as well as a favorite with the fans since being named as the second overall draft pick in 2013.

Bryant went on to earn the Jackie Robinson National League Rookie of the Year after making his MLB debut in 2015. Last year, Bryant was named the Most Valuable Player in the National League after helping lead the Cubs to a World Series Championship.

Tap Sports Baseball franchise lets players manage their own baseball team in a mobile game that features vivid graphics, real baseball strategy, one-touch controls and turn-based PvP gameplay.

More than just baseball games

Besides the Tap Sports Baseball franchise game, the San Francisco, California-based Glu Mobile which was founded in 2001 also boasts of other titles such as Contract Killer, Covet Fashion, Design Home, Racing Rivals, Cooking Dash, Deer Hunter, and Quizup. It is also the firm behind branded mobile games such as Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, Gordon Ramsay Dash, and Kendall & Kylie.

More information concerning the launch of the Tap Sports Baseball’s latest title will be released later in spring.

In Wednesday’s trading session, shares of Glu Mobile Inc fell by 2.35 percent to close the day at $2.49.
