Shard To Center Publishing Process On People

This joint project has received initial funding support from Adam Powell, the founder of Neopets. Top officials of Ownage, Alex Amsel (founder of Tuna Technologies), and Jack Du Rose (co-founder of Colony.io) have joined the community known for funding and publishing independent video games. Fig receives its backing from fans that support the platform in return for exclusive rewards or even invest for earning returns from game sales. The platform also supports game developers with startup investing, community building and marketing.

In his statement, the CEO of Fig, Justin Bailey said, “Shard seeks to accomplish what we set out to do with Fig, center the publishing process on the people who are most passionate about the properties being created – the community.” The CEO stated that this acquisition will enable Fig to fulfill its goal of building community which is a big attraction for MOO games. He further added that the Shard platform will serve as a community-based platform for everyone who wants to approach investors for funding, engagement or even for cross-promoting the games.

Developers And Gamers To Own The Shard Platform

One of the biggest highlights of the Shard platform is that it will be wholly owned by the community of gamers and developers. It also indicates that it will not be mandatory for the developers to compulsorily run a Fig campaign for using this platform. Fig intends to develop Shard as the sponsored, open and decentralized platform which can be used by the publishers, developers and gamers independently by customizing it according to their requirements.

The creative lead for Shard, Alex Amsel, stated that Fig will support the growth of community on this platform all through the process and focus on working with game developers and explore the possibilities of new opportunities and innovations that can be made available on this platform.
