On March19, 2018, Thomas S.T. Gimbel, an independent member of the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of Farmland Partners Inc. (the “Company”), notified the Company of his decision not to stand for reelection to the Board when his current term expires at the time of the Company’s 2018 annual meeting of stockholders (the “2018 Annual Meeting”). Mr.Gimbel’s decision is due to his desire to devote more time to his other business interests and is not the result of any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies or practices. Mr.Gimbel intends to continue to serve as a director until the expiration of his term in connection with the election of directors at the 2018 Annual Meeting.
